Random Thoughts

So we have a new friend that is living with us...we like to call him Mousy! Yup that is right we have a mouse in the house! Gross! Currently he has taken up residence in our kitchen. We found his markings last weekend under our sink, in a cabinet and on the stove. I will pause for gagging noises.....ok, now that is over I will continue. We sterilized the kitchen as best we could and have set out traps, 6 of them, and we still haven't caught him! We (I mean Mate) caulked under our sink where we think that he lives but still nothing! So now we wait until he is caught!
So moving on, still no baby. We have sure been trying but so far it hasn't happened. Everyone keeps telling me that it will happen when the time is right, but I have to admit that I am getting a little nervous. I just try to keep thinking positive. I went on to a psychics website and she said that I should conceive in November or December. So when I read that I thought hey December would be good, that would be the best Christmas present ever.
Speaking of Christmas, it is only 2 months from Monday! I sure have a lot of work to do before then! I have two blankets to finish, two scarves, cards to make, and I think I am going to make those cookies in a jar for a couple of select family members! It is another homemade Christmas. Tomorrow I am going to the scrapbooking store over in Cedarburg with a dear friend to work on a birthday gift for my Grandpa. It should be tons of fun! I always spend too much money in that store but I do have a gift certificate to use this time from my birthday!
Next weekend is Halloween and Mate and I are going a party at my cousins house. She and I are going as Lucy and Ethel, which is totally fitting for us!
I suppose that is all for tonight, I better get back to crocheting...reading....and maybe some sleep in there tonight too.

LuLu's Scarf

Here it is my first ever crochet pattern that I designed myself.

Hook Size: J

2 Skeins of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn

Chain 160

Row 1: dc into 3rd stitch from hook and every ch to end, ch 2, turn (make sure that you go into both loops!)

Row 2: skip 1st two chains, single crochet in both loops across, ch2, turn

Row 3: skip 1st two chains, double crochet in both loops across, ch2, turn

Row 4-9: Repeat Rows 2 & 3

Finishing: At the end of Row 9, sc crochet evenly around the corner and bottom and along the other side, slip stitch into top stitch of double crochet, and finish off. Mine was a little curly but it hugs your neck nicely!

Out With the Old in With the New...or Something Like That

So Mate has returned home which is GREAT!! I am so happy that he is back! We are finally trying to de-clutter our house...actually it is really me who has to de-clutter. Poor Mate is only allowed some much space and that is really in the studio, but it seems that I have taken that area over too! We (me) are going through things that we haven't used in a long time and just getting rid of them. We watched our new cousin baby Quinn last night and I think we both realized that if we are going to try to have a baby in this house then we need to remove somethings. So tonight I started to unload some things on craigslist and we will see where we can get. I figure if we can get a couple dollars for them then we can start saving toward the bigger purchases that we will have to make. Oh but I was quite excited to find a dresser on craigslist tonight that will be perfect for when we do have a baby, only $15. We get to pick it up on Sunday. Mate thinks that I am crazy but I call it just trying to be proactive. When could we possibly find another dresser for $15 that is exactly what I am looking for!!! That man just doesn't know a bargin! I guess that is all for tonight. I promise I will try to post again soon.

Summer Cleaning

So I have just cleaned out three closets and the basement. Getting rid of a lot of junk! How do I even collect all of this stuff....wait don't answer that! I think I know perfectly well how I do that! Maybe tomorrow I will have the energy to clean up the rest of the house, kitchen could really use a good cleaning and the bathroom too. I can't imagine where we are going to put baby stuff in this house! I am going to have to really purge then! I think that I am going to go and put my feet up and relax for the rest of the day! Mate should be home from work soon and then we are going to eat. We were suppose to do a date night tonight because he is going to be leaving for Hungary next Friday to visit Papa, so we wanted to celebrate my birthday and our Anniversary because he is going to miss them. So I guess that is all for now.

The Months Just Fly By

Time sure flies by when you are having all sorts of fun! These last couples of months have been crazy busy for us. I have finished my spring semester of school and took a much needed summer off. Mate and I both have been to Hungary and back. We have been watching a lot of baseball too. Harry's team made it to the State Tournament yesterday when they beat both Campbellsport and Kewaskum. On Wednesday they will face Grafton in Steven's Point. Today Mate and I are working on a sign for the front yard of Mom and Dad's house for Harry. I have been doing a lot of crocheting in my spare time lately too. I have made a baby blanket, two wash clothes, a blanket for a friend's wedding, and a cute hat. I am working on a blanket right now for Mate's Papa, he isn't feeling well and I want to make him a little lap blanket so that when he has it on he thinks of us and knows that we love him and are thinking of him. Well I better get back to my sign making duties and crocheting.

More soon.

Dentist

So tomorrow I have to go to the dentist. I am really not looking forward to going, but I think that no one ever really wants to go there. I am having some teeth problems so I know that lots of pain and money are going to be involved! But, it needs to be done.

On a positive note, on Friday this week, me and my girls (Amanda, Ashley and Courtney) are going to Cedarburg for the crop that is being held from 5pm-12am, we are all very excited! That is my and my scrapbooking groupies above.

Spring is Coming...I Hope!

This picture I took in the Smoky Mountains, I just love how the ice froze. Today we had some rain and whole lot of fog. It makes me think and hope that Spring is soon coming! I am ready for Old Man winter to move on. I have another cold, this is my third of the winter I think now. So I am also ready for that to leave too! Just a short entry tonight, if you can believe it I am writing another paper, this is the fourth one in a week!

A Whole Lot of Stuff

So a couple weeks ago, my lovely husband called me up on a Friday afternoon at work and asked what I would like to do for the weekend. I wasn't too sure but I knew that I wanted to do something fun and exciting, a direct quote was, " I don't want to go to the movies because I don't want to have to sit in those seats, if I am going to watch a movie I want to lay in my bed." So needless to say we didn't go to the movies! I thought of bowling, going to the dells, my husband on the other hand called me back a little while later after thinking everything through and asked me, "How would you like to have breakfast at the Pancake Pantry?" to which I replied, "The Pancake Pantry is in Tennessee!" Then he replies with, "Yeah I know, lets go to Tennessee." You see we had made plans to go to Tennessee to see the Smoky Mountains in August for our little summer vacation, like how we went out West last year. So after getting over the shock of planning a trip in literally like 2 hours, I made reservations at a hotel even though Mate wanted to be spontaneous and wing it! By the time that I got home at 5 Mate had the car almost packed and ready to go, he was so excited, and deep down I was really excited to but I didn't want to lead him on and let him know this until the trip was well underway! The above picture is our standard stand together and hold the camera out picture. It was taken in the Smoky Mountains at a rest stop so that we could let the brakes cool....hmmm this sounds an awful lot like the last trip that we had. So to sum it up we left on Friday at 6:30pm and we were home by Sunday at 4pm. Yea, that was a lot of traveling in one weekend not to mention a lot of traveling in the car!
Our next adventure is going to be going to Hungary. Mate will leave in April and I will follow in May. We are traveling through Brussels this time, someplace that neither of us have been so that will be interesting I am sure that I will have stories for all of you then. Well that is it for now, I promise it won't take me so long to post again.

Crash

So you will all be happy to know that after going to bed last night after midnight and getting up this morning at 6:45 I still haven't crashed. It took a whole lot of caffeine to get me this good but, I am happy to say that I am still wide eyed and bushy tailed. Well off to the scrapbook store with Amanda and then home to more homework.

A Late Night of Studying and Drawing

So tonight I was up doing homework and I told Mate that he couldn't go to bed until I was done with my homework. So he decided to work some more on one of his drawings. Today his dad called him and asked for some pictures of us, so I thought that it would be fitting to put one up here. This was taken just a couple of minutes ago while I was working on homework! Mate thought that it would be cute if I put my glasses on my head, yeah as if I could see then! After we took the picture I had to put them back right so that I could see the picture! Well I think that it is going to be bedtime soon here, it is after 11 and I need my beauty sleep, or something like it. Oh I want to do a shout out to my awesome mom for buying me a new pair of Nike tennis shoes! They will be great to break in at the Zumba class that I am going to go to on Saturday morning with my friend Tabetha!

I'm Here

I am here, sorry that I haven't written in awhile, but with school starting again I have been a little busy. On that note, school is going well, keeping me busy which is good. Mate is back on the employement list. Last week Wednesday was his last day at work, so if you know of any jobs that you think he might be good at please let us know. Not to much is new with the Kramlik group. Just taking it one day at a time. I am still going to the gym two nights a week, sometimes three when I have the time to squeeze it in. I am currently working on two baby afghans for the new Zaunter baby that will be joining us next month! I am so excited for them, I am hoping to get some crocheting down tomorrow night. Tonight I have homework and class so by the time that I am done with all of that it will be time for bed so that I can sleep and get up and do it all again! Don't you just love that about your days! Ok so maybe not the whole going to work part, but hey at least you are waking up!

I am sure that most of you know but a couple of weeks ago we went snoeshowing for the first time so I thought I would include one of our pictures. Enjoy! :)

Day 1 at Gym

Tonight was the first night back to the gym, and let me just say that I can totally feel the burn! Thanks to my friend Tabetha, who went with me, it was easier to get back there than I thought! I look forward to many nights being there sweating my butt off. Ahhh...if it was only that easy! I will say this I still don't like to work out, but maybe if I keep doing it one day I will like it! Ok pretty sure that I won't! But, it is what must be done!

Books

So I have decided as part of my New Year's resolution that I needed to come up with the list of books that I have read in my entire life. (ok I know that this sounds strange, delusional, wacky, etc) However, I have wanted to do this for quite sometime. Now I know that I won't possibly remember every single book so I am saying from like high school on as those were the ones that had some substance to them, not saying that all of the Ramona Quimby and Judy Blume books didn't, they helped a lot with those strange years of being a kid. So I am currently working on the list and I believe that I am somewhere around 76 books. As soon as it reaches 100 I will post the list here for you to see and maybe one of them will sound good to you! Happy Reading!
